Accountant by day. Storyteller always.

Hi — I'm Gary. By day I'm an accountant, which means I spend a lot of hours making numbers behave. By every other hour, I'm a storyteller, which means I spend the rest of my time making feelings misbehave on purpose.

I've always been drawn to the big stuff: space, history, the way whole worlds get built one small decision at a time. Somewhere along the way I realized the biggest world any of us ever builds is the one inside a seventeen-year-old trying to figure out who they're allowed to be. That's the territory I write from.

Ethan's Edge is my debut novel — a YA road-trip story about first love, found courage, and the mile markers between the person you've been and the person you're becoming. I wrote it for every kid who ever practiced saying something true in the mirror before saying it out loud.

When I'm not writing (or reconciling a ledger), you'll find me reading about the Apollo program, falling down history rabbit holes, and sketching maps of places that don't exist yet. FILL_IN: add a line about where Gary lives / family / pets, if he wants one here.
